HOW TO PLAY

The Board

8×8 grid with 4 Power Nodes at fixed positions. Claim nodes to gain extra actions per turn.

Pieces

Each player commands 5 pieces:

◆ Nexus 1 square, any direction Your king. Cannot capture. If captured, you lose instantly.
▲ Blade ×2 Up to 3 squares, orthogonal only Cannot jump over pieces. Pure offense.
◎ Phantom Up to 2 squares, any direction Can leap over pieces (ignores blocking).
■ Anchor 1 square, orthogonal only Zone of Control: adjacent enemy pieces (except Nexus) can't move. They can capture the Anchor to escape.

Power Nodes

  • Land on or pass through a node to claim it for your team
  • Opponent can reclaim by landing their piece on it
  • Base: 1 action per turn. Each node = +1 action
  • Each piece can only move once per turn, so with 3 actions you must move 3 different pieces

Win Conditions

  • Checkmate — Capture the opponent's Nexus
  • Domination — Control all 4 Power Nodes at end of your turn
  • Attrition — Eliminate all opponent's non-Nexus pieces
